Facilitating Factors Perceived by Adolescent Clients in Counseling and Psychotherapy

Abstract
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore factors that facilitated the changes perceived by college students who experienced counseling and psychotherapy in adolescence.

Methods: To achieve this, 11 participants who met the purpose of the study were sampled, and after conducting in-depth interviews, the data were analyzed according to the thematic analysis method.

Results: As a result of the study, five themes were derived including "entering the world of youth", "safe and supportive environment", "allowing the client's paradox", "the counselor's ability to relate", and "positive perception of counseling and the counselor".

Conclusion: The research findings put forward a hypothesis concerning the factors facilitating changes in the counseling and psychotherapy of adolescents.
